Out of curiosity, I downloaded his book on my Kindle and read it in two nights. I was touched by his spiritual being, life journey and the various roads that he has traveled. I really enjoyed reading this little ebook. Though it may be short on pages, it is NOT short on insight into the human conditon. Howard writes effortlessly from the perspective of a professional therapist to a poet to that of a shaman and always as someone moved and awed by the mysteries of life. His personal experiences like finding the cow in a cave and his "straight up miracle" with Hogkins disease were amazing accounts. I would highly recommend this book to anyone who revels in the adventure of direct experience.

While I know Joseph personally as a friend, I am also a writer and brutally honest observer. He has wrapped so much intensity, reality, and open heart into this book it is amazing. I have read it, wept, felt the stirrings of long buried emotional wounds, and the absolute reality of what he has written--it has been cathartic. For all sojourners on the path of life---I highly recommend reading this work. It will reveal things to you that you have always known, but need confirmed. It will help you in your journey, your battles, and your path. I commend him on a job very well done.
